Environmental Issues
Travelling by coach causes less pollution, per passenger kilometre, than the equivalent journey made by the same sized group of train or car passengers. Travelling by coach also significantly reduces road congestion.
Environmental pollution
We take environmental issues very seriously.
All Birmingham International Coaches are equipped with the latest Euro compliant engines.
The 'Euro' emission standards, issued in a series of European Union directives, define the acceptable limits for exhaust emissions of all new vehicles sold in European Union states.
Birmingham International Coaches maintenance standards are exceptionally high, because we employ our own specialist team of mechanics working in well-equipped, purpose built garage facilities at our head office. This helps to ensure that our coaches are operating cleanly and efficiently at all times.
How emission control works
All our vehicles are powered by DAF or Volvo which use the ADblue system to control emissions to within Euro standards. Adblue diesel technology is based on the combination of highly efficient engines and emission control measures using SCR technology.
